Madrasah Taleemul Islam stands as Preston’s first Madrasah, founded in the early 1960s to offer essential Islamic education firmly rooted in the Qur’an and Sunnah, operating from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. Over time, as more Muslim families settled in the area, additional Masaajid and Madrasahs were established, yet Madrasah Taleemul Islam continued as a trusted cornerstone of Islamic learning, still welcoming children from across the city to the present day.
Madrasah Taleemul Islam by Jamea Masjid, Preston, plans to return to its Clarendon Street premises once the new building is complete, maintaining its commitment to nurturing values of respect, tolerance, and responsibility among students aged 3 to 16.
In addition to its core educational mission, Madrasah Taleemul Islam supports community-focused projects such as Teenspired, a social hub aimed at empowering older teenage girls through personal growth sessions and friendship-building activities.
